​Language is one of the most fundamental ways of expression. Everyday, we use language, to express our emotions, thoughts, worries and love. But what if you could not express yourself. What if you were a child who was hungry, sick or needed to go to the bathroom and could not speak. Many kids are not able to use the tools of language in meaningful and effective ways due to a disability, upbringing or trauma. StartSmart Academy is a preschool that gives young children the strategies and tools to enhance their literacy skills through instruction, narratives, play, games and meaningful conversations
